The ECCFA negotiating team spent seven hours in mediation Thursday night. According to chief negotiator Rick Green, there was no progress. No sign-offs on any items occurred. Proposals were presented to the Board team, which did not respond. The two sides will meet Saturday morning with the mediator; however, ECCFA will file the 10-day intent to strike notice on Friday, March 2.
Rick Green has called an all-faculty meeting for Friday afternoon at 3:30 when more information will be available.
On Wednesday, the faculty senate voted to authorize the ECCFA negotiators to call a strike.
